Key Stage 3

KS3 forms the bedrock of GCSE skills and should also be a time of creativity, inspiration and innovation for students. Ideally, they should be introduced to texts that challenge their thinking and open their minds, and they should secure their knowledge of Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPAG) to ensure a sophisticated writing style. I can either focus on one area, or else develop all areas in a more holistic approach:

• Creative writing

• Non-fiction writing (e.g. speeches, articles, reviews, letters)

• Analytical writing in response to fiction and non-fiction

• Critical appreciation of novels, plays, poetry

• Presentation skills

• School assessment preparation (end of term/module assessments or end of year assessments)

• Homework support

• Revision and study skills support

I offer a KS3 Pre-tutoring assessment package (p.o.r) and/or individual lessons

• Pre-assessment interviews with parents and student

• Analysis of written work and school reports

• Follow up online meeting to discuss findings

• Full written report with an assessment of your child’s levels, as well as recommendations for the next steps

Lessons are £70 per hour
